The Seiko Presage Classic Series HCC005J1 pays homage to Japan’s very first wristwatch, the historic 1913 Laurel, merging traditional Japanese craftsmanship with modern mechanical mastery. Its centerpiece is an authentic white enamel dial brought to life through meticulous high-temperature kiln firing. During the melting process, delicate natural characteristics—such as microscopic dimples, tiny dots, and subtle surface graining—naturally form. Far from flaws, these distinctive traits are the hallmark of genuine vitreous enamel, ensuring that no two dials are ever identical.
The dial showcases vintage Arabic numerals, the iconic red 12 o’clock accent, and a 24-hour subdial at 6 o’clock beneath a dual-curved sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating. Housed in a 39.6mm stainless steel case with super-hard coating, it is paired with a stitched black cow leather strap and push-button three-fold clasp.
Powered by the in-house Seiko Calibre 6R5H automatic movement, the HCC005J1 delivers a 72-hour (3-day) power reserve, hacking seconds, and an exhibition case back.
